On Saturday the 26th of May, we celebrated 10 years of Attitude with a beautiful event at the Geelong West Town Hall. Old and new Attitudians came along to watch old and new video footage of past performances.

Highlights were seeing ADC Director Xavier McGettigan without his signature beard (and also actually performing in his own dances), a “Digga Digga Dog” compilation, getting emotional (once again) at Rebecca Nutter and Xavier Robertson’s performance of “To Build a Home” from SIGNIFICANCE, Elyssa Mahr receiving her “Most Prolific Attitudian” trophy (after appearing in every major Attitude performance since 2011), multiple examples of Lucy Abramovitch’s in-studio antics and sharing many behind-the-scenes memories.

It was so wonderful to chat and reminisce with everyone about our old venues, shows, video recordings and jokes. Thank you so much to everyone who came along to celebrate this huge achievement.

A huge thank you goes out to Mumma J for operating our bar, Jayson Fry for setting up and providing a delicious array of food, and Xavier Robertson for coming in early to help us set up in the Geelong West Town Hall Supper Room. Thanks also to the City of Greater Geelong for having us at your beautiful venue, it was wonderful to hold our event there.

Now we look forward to another 10 years of dance at Attitude Dance Company, and who knows what beautiful memories we’ll create next. Come along to our next production, Dear Diary at the Shenton Performing Arts Centre, keep an eye on our YouTube channel for more highlight videos (and others) coming soon, and watch this space for more exciting announcements coming up!
